Position Overview:  Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, we are seeking an experienced and dynamic Sales Manager to lead and support our growth through a range of improvements and change initiatives.

The Sales Manager will be responsible for developing and executing strategic sales plans, leading a team of 8 in total. This team will include Client Relationship Managers, Client Service Officers, and a Client Service Manager (4 direct reports in total). The Sales Manager will drive revenue growth, predominantly within existing accounts, while maintaining the commitment to social impact. This role requires a strong leader with a proven track record in B2B sales, process improvement, and strong team development capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Sales Leadership: Develop and implement strategic B2B sales plans to achieve organisational revenue targets and expand market/ wallet share.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, fostering relationships with an enviable list of household brand clients. (L'Oréal, Dulux, Fyna Food, Sorbent, CFA, to name just a few)
  • Lead B2B cross-selling initiatives to maximise business opportunities across various services and solutions.
  • Process Improvement: Review existing sales processes and identify areas for improvement to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Implement best practices and innovative solutions to streamline sales operations and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of 8. This includes Client Relationship Managers, Client Service Officers, and a Client Service Manager. (Total 4 x direct reports.) Provide input and support marketing our commercial activities
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the sales team.
  • Provide ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance team capabilities.
  • Commercial Acumen: Analyse sales data, financial reports, and market trends to inform strategic decisions. Own the CRM function.
  • Monitor and manage sales budgets, ensuring profitability and sustainability.
  • Understand and manage key financial metrics, including margins and cost structures.
  • Own the pricing process and modelling
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Represent Waverley Social Enterprises at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to enhance brand visibility and reputation.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Proven experience in a senior sales leadership role, leading B2B initiatives ideally in a service-based industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing B2B sales strategies and achieving revenue targets. Ability and desire to lead by example, with a track record of strategic business development, revenue generation, and successful account management
  • Strong experience in process improvement and implementing sales best practices.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with experience leading teams of a similar size.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to analyse financial data and market trends.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for social impact and commitment to the mission of providing employment opportunities for people living with disabilities.
  • Proficient in using EXCEL and Microsoft platforms.
Desirable:
  • Experience working with disability employment services or related sectors.
  • Familiarity with the not-for-profit sector and understanding of its unique challenges and opportunities.
